introduction to us

Hi there we are the Barretts from Cornwall and we are making this blog to tell people about the things we do as a home educating family.   Our names are Emily age 11  and I enjoy baking,Thomas age 9,Edward age 7 and both boys enjoy skylanders (a computer game) and Lego and rose age 5 enjoys the moomins. since becoming home educated in September 2013  we have worked on an assortment of different projects ranging from the brain to technology no one has worked on the same project.But my fave one has to be the one one I am working on now - the human body and since starting this I have learnt many cool facts such as the temperature control area of your brain doesn't devolp until you are about three years old! so if your wondering why your toddler keeps having temperature attacks then this is why,Rose has enjoyed both learning about monkeys and about little House on the Prairie and has asked some pretty odd questions on both. For monkeys the oddest was do monkeys play cards? And little house on the prairie was did Laura and Mary have a computer and the answer to both was NO much to her disappointment  Edwards is technology and is  really enjoying learning about engines and Thomas`s is ancient Egypt and is having a lot of fun learning about myths and legends of the Egyptian kind!!

Hi its me Emily again and this time I am going to tell you about post crossing.
What is post crossing? I hear you cry well let me explain well what it means is that you  find a post card from somewhere near where you live and send it to someone else in the world so far we have sent out postcards to the u.s.a,Germany ,Ukraine and Russia and the cards that have arrived are the Ukraine one ,the u.s.a one and the German one and we have had ones from Belarus Hong Kong Taiwan and the Netherlands              http://www.postcrossing.com/ Here is the link to it so you can become a post crosser as well
